1. Use my Contact page or leave a message to contact me initially, with your telephone number and an idea of the best times to call you back for a free initial consultation.
2. For all clients, I offer a free initial consultation over the phone. This is to give you the chance to find out if I am the right therapist for you and to ask any questions (no question is deemed silly) and briefly talk about your issue. There is absolutely no obligation after the consultation. If you would like to go ahead, we can then agree on a date and time for your session.
3. Once a date and time has been agreed I will email you information about how to pay for your sessions. Please note all sessions must be paid in advance, as according to the terms and conditions below.
Terms and conditions
Paying for sessions and fees
1.1 Each hypnotherapy session lasts 50-60 minutes long
1.2 Each session costs £50 (offer for during the time of the pandemic).
1.3 Session fees must be paid in advance to secure your booking.
1.4 Payment can be made via PayPal, the link provided, by bank transfer or by telephone.
1.5 A booking confirmation and receipt of payment will be sent to you by email (or hard copy if requested).
2.1 You must give as much notice as possible (at least 24 hours) when wishing to cancel or reschedule your session. Changing or cancelling your session within 24 hours notice means the full session fee is due (via the advance payment).
2.2 Cancellations made prior to the 24 hour period will be honoured with a full refund and the fee will be refunded directly into your bank account within 5 days of the date of the request.
2.3 If sessions are booked less than 24 hours before your session, these sessions cannot be refunded as they fall within 2.1.
2.4 Should we have to cancel your session for any reason, as much notice will be given to you and you can reschedule or receive a full refund of fees paid (paid within 5 days).
Arriving for your session
3.1 Please arrive no earlier than 10 minutes before your scheduled time.
3.2 If you are going to be late, please let me know as soon as you can. I’ll make every effort to make up for lost time, please understand your session may still have to finish at the previously agreed time.
4.1 Please only contact me using the means of Contact page of this website. Do not rely on social media accounts to share confidential information or matters regarding your session, booking or cancellation.
4.2 I treat all clients with confidentiality, and I will only contact you with the means you have given me. If I have to leave a message it will be a simple one with my name (Joseph) and contact number. No mention of hypnotherapy or wellbeing service will be mentioned.
4.3 All calls, voicemails and emails will be responded to within 48 hours.
4.4 Please ensure Zest Wellbeing has your most up-to-date contact details.
4.5 You will be asked if you would like to sign up to the Zest Wellbeing mailing list. There is no obligation to do so.
5.1 Confidentiality and the handling of your data in a sensible and sensitive way is paramount with this practice.
5.2 Any information that is collected from you as a potential client or client, including contact details is held in the strictest of confidence and will never be shared with external parties without your express permission with the following exceptions:
5.3 Self-harm or harm to others – I may need to contact your GP or healthcare team (if applicable) if it appears you intend to harm yourself or others.
5.4 Abuse or harm to a minor – I am legally required to report abuse or harm to anyone under 18, should this sort of information surface in a session.
5.5 All hypnotherapists are required to undertake ongoing development and sometimes treatment plans are used within case studies. Your anonymous case may be used as a case study or learning point. At no point will your name or any personal or identifiable details be shared. Do let me know if you are uncomfortable with any matters of your own treatment being used in this matter.
Therapy duration and disclaimer
6.1 I will discuss the number of sessions and treatment plan with you, to give you an idea of how many sessions you may need.
6.2 Sometimes a one-off session is advised, other times a plan of 4-6 sessions. Other clients have regular monthly sessions (called ‘maintenance’ or ‘boost’ sessions). The number of sessions is as unique as you are with your individual situation.
6.3 I cannot (and not therapist can) claim that a treatment plan will fix your situation or guarantee a solution.
6.4 Hypnotherapy (as with any therapy) relies on the client to be fully committed to achieving change and working towards their goal. It is a team effort with the client and therapist.
